Story
The midday sun pours across Sanssouci Park lawns, the ghosts of Prussian kings meander through the historic market squares and Babelsberg film studio – once known as Europe’s Hollywood – reverberates with bygone fame. Potsdam Kino B&W Film freezes life’s most meaningful moments in gorgeous greyscale.
Potsdam Kino is the second member of the Lomography B&W Kino Film Family – our very special collection of multiformat monochromes. Inspired by the New German Cinema sweeping through Europe in the 1960s, our Kino Films are extracted from rolls of cine film produced by a legendary German company that has been changing the face of cinema since the early 1900s. Originally used to make moody monochrome movies, their gorgeous black and white tones lend a timeless aesthetic to every shot.
Just like its bigger brother Berlin, our original Potsdam Kino has developed over time – as German cinema evolved to meet the innovative spirit of its founding fathers, so too did our film formula. Refined and brimming with timeless beauty the 2019 formula of Potsdam Kino will imbue your shots with poetic allure.
