Our Lomographic deadstock scouts have some excellent news to report. Their intrepid efforts have yielded 100 units of one of the most rare and sought-after cameras in the world of Russian deadstock. Crafted in Belarus by the iconic BeLOMO factory, the Elikon camera is a true gevm from the very top of high society.

From the sophisticated curves of its high-impact plastic body to the subtle radiance of its sought-after Minar lens, the Elikon just oozes out all that jazz. Elegant weather icons guide you to the proper aperture setting – and the Aperture Priority exposure then takes over to serve up the perfect shutter speed for every shot. How sweet it is!

The BeLOMO (Belarus Optiko Mechanichesckoye Obyedinenie) was founded in 1957 in Minsk – formerly a city within the Soviet Union, and currently a city within the sovereign nation of Belarus. From it’s beginnings, it was charged with the production of photographic equipment and lenses for the state. This factory is responsible for some of the most sought-after Russian cameras – including the Vilia, Vilia Auto, Agat Half-Frame, Chaika, Vesna, Siluet, and of course, the Elikon line. The Elikon 535 introduced in 1990, was one of the last camera models produced by BeLOMO.

These days, BeLOMO concentrates on a selection of very specific high-tech goods and a wonderfully bizarre range of consumer items, including a portable grille and a planting kit
