Until now all types of legal wrangling had prevented Fuji Instant cameras from being sold outside the Asian market. Lomo has decided to team up with Fuji to bring instant photography to you, wherever you hang your hat. Now, for the first time, the wonder of the Instax Mini 50 can be experienced by all you good people!
Yone x Cheki box set
This limited edition box-set is a collabo between Fuji and Japanese cult photographer Yasumasa Yonehara (Yone) with artwork by graffiti artist Fafi.
Yone's trademark is Cheki - Polaroid style- shots of girls in provocative and playful poses. His distinctive style has made him the master of new Ero-Kawa photography; eroticism and cuteness fused into one.
Lomography's connection to Yone goes back to 2000. So impressed were we by Yone's unique work with the 'Cheki', we invited him to exhibit his instant shots at the Lomography depot.
Yone and Lomo seem to have one basic thing in common; a blatant disregard to the rules and conventions of photography! Self-taught photographer Yone focuses on capturing what is real. Shooting his models with just the available light or the 'Cheki' flash gives Yone's shots a raw authenticity.
A one-off booklet with exclusive shots taken by Yone and his tips for getting the most out the Instax Mini 50 come with the box-set.
Fafi
Fafi used to sneak out of her parents' house at night to cover Toulouse's walls with her Fafinettes. So you can imagine her sexy and funny girl characters are just as rebellious as her! Her often raunchy illustrations explore feminine stereotypes in a fun way.
Fafinettes decorate the special edition metal box making it a real collector's item. Also Fafi's illustrations feature on stickers and around the border of the Instax Film included in the box-set.
